Korean Traditional Holidays

Chuseok is three public holidays on the lunar calendar, when Koreans head home for ancestral rites, and it decides what closes and how you travel. Its real length varies, since a Chuseok day on a Sunday earns a substitute and one on a Saturday doesn't, and small shops set their own closing days. Korail sells Chuseok and Seollal trains in a separate advance sale, outside the usual 30-day window.
