Korea, explained for the world.

Korealogue is an independent publication that answers the questions global readers actually ask about Korea — with concrete facts, real prices, and zero tourist-brochure gloss. Every story is researched for readers outside Korea and published in four languages, each written for native readers rather than machine-translated.

What we cover

Seven ways into Korea — every article lives in one of these.

Four languages, one standard

Each story is published in English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Spanish. Localization here means rewriting for a native reader — a Japanese version uses the register and search terms a Japanese reader expects, not a translated English sentence. Proper nouns, dates and numbers stay identical across all four versions.

Editorial principles

  1. Every fact carries a year

Prices, schedules, rankings and statistics are anchored to a year ("as of 2026"), so you always know how fresh a claim is — and when it might have expired.

  2. Concrete beats vague

We write the bus number, the closing time and the price in won. If a sentence could appear in any travel brochure, it does not appear here.

  3. Unverified means unpublished

Claims we cannot check against a reliable source do not run. We would rather publish less than publish maybes.

  4. A person signs off on every story

We use modern tools to research and draft at four-language scale, but nothing goes live without human editorial review — structure, facts and tone are checked before publish.

How a story gets made

  1. Find the real question

We start from what global readers actually search and ask — community threads, trend data, search behavior — not from press releases.

  2. Research and write

The English original is written against our editorial rules: year-anchored facts, concrete details, a summary block, and an FAQ answering the questions readers type.

  3. Localize natively

Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Spanish editions are rewritten natively — same facts, native voice and search language.

  4. Review, publish, correct

A human reviews every edition before it goes live. When readers flag an error, we fix the article and update its date.
